Chaisson picks Hogs
The Razorbacks picked up their first quarterback commitment for the 2007 recruiting class on Sunday when Beaumont (Texas) Westbrook signal caller Joe Chaisson made the move on his official visit.
Chaisson, 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, is rated a three-star prospect, the No. 21 dual-threat quarterback recruit in the nation and the No. 60 overall recruit in the Lone Star State. He had some big early offers but those faded as he waited to make a decision and some other teams moved on with other recruits.
"I wanted to get down there because Houston Nutt, he's a great coach. And I know that. He's a great person," Chaisson said. "When I got down there, it was more of a getting to know, building a relationship type of thing. That kind of thing, and that's what really caught my attention right there."
