Marve talks about UA official
This weekend Plant High School quarterback Robert Marve was in Tuscaloosa for his official visit with Alabama and his first opportunity to meet new coach Nick Saban. Marve, 6-foot-1, 200-pounds, committed to the Tide during the summer but since then he has seen his stock shoot through the roof and a coaching change at Alabama.
"My parents went down with me and they loved the place which was huge for me. My dad had never been there and he thought it was a great fit for me. I had been there before and I knew that I loved the environment but I wanted to meet the coaches so I could be sure about my decision," Marve said. "Coach Saban and I talked and it went really well. He was straightforward and honest. He talked to me like an adult and I appreciated that. He wasn't trying to sell me anything and he just told me how it was going to be with him. Coach Saban said I was the guy and he loved my film. He wants to build the class around me on the offensive side, which was good to hear.
