Booker makes the most of his homecoming
SAN FRANCISCO - Lorenzo Booker said the same thing over and over again throughout the season. If he got the touches, he could do something special.
In his final game as a Seminole, he got those touches and then some and turned in the greatest performance of his Florida State career.
The senior recorded his second career 100-yard receiving game - and nearly eclipsed 100 yards on the ground -- to lead Florida State to its first bowl win since 2004, a 44-27 Emerald Bowl win over UCLA.
Booker, who won offensive player of the game honors for his performance, said he couldn't have scripted a better finale to his collegiate career.
"You dream it and you dream it and you dream it and success is just as much mental preparation as it is physical," Booker said. "You have to see yourself making those plays in those types of games, and I do a lot of daydreaming."
