Easterling picks hometown team
Sometimes a change will do you good. That's exactly what happened to one of Mississippi's most exciting players over the summer. Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, Miss.) wide receiver Taiwan Easterling made a change, several changes in fact. Easterling spent his sophomore and junior years as an exciting dual-threat signal caller at Magee (Magee, Miss.). All that changed when he enrolled at Oak Grove.
This past summer Easterling moved to Hattiesburg and enrolled at Oak Grove, Kirk Lance had solidified himself as Oak Grove's starting quarterback but the Warriors were looking to replace record setting receiver Torris Magee who had signed with Southern Miss the previous spring. Easterling made the transition without a hitch and went on to lead the state of Mississippi in both catches and receiving yards.
