Mississippi State went into the early signing period looking for immediate help along the defensive front, and made some of that help official on Saturday morning, when former signee and current Co-Lin C.C. star Jesse Bowman signed on the dotted line.

He signed this morning," commented Co-Lin head coach Glenn Davis. "He will be a Bulldog."

Bowman, at 6-foot-1 and 335 pounds, runs the 40-yard dash in 5.0 seconds and caps an early signing class which also includes linebacker Dominic Douglas of Hinds C.C. and quarterback Josh Riddell of Los Altos Hills (Calif.) Foothill College. Defensive lineman Jonathan Williams of Mississippi Delta C.C. had also been expected, but chose instead to sign with nearby South Carolina.
