Earlier this month Golden Tate finally got his chance to visit Notre Dame.

The four-star athlete from Hendersonville, Tenn., liked what he saw, so much so that the 5-foot-11, 175-pound, do-everything prospect ended his recruitment on Tuesday by committing to the Irish.

"I just felt like it's the pace I needed to be," Tate said. "I liked the academics and the athletics and I can be a student athlete there and help the team out."
