Jones discusses state title, recruiting
SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Dwight Jones, fresh off winning a 2-A state championship this past weekend with his Burlington (N.C.) Cummings teammates, is making a strong showing at the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas practices this week, making a number of impressive catches, and showing outstanding athletic ability.
"It's fun getting a workout; there's a lot more competition out there, because they put all the top people together. It's real fun," said Jones.
On Tuesday morning, Jones worked out in front of several University of North Carolina assistant coaches, including Tommy Thigpen, Marvin Sanders, and new wide receivers coach Charlie Williams.
