Tampa Freedom has several for 08
Tampa (Fla.) Freedom is home to several potential Division I-A prospects for the Class of 2008, including one prospect who could possibly be one of the Sunshine State's top line prospects.
Matt Patchen is a 6-foot-7, 270-pound offensive tackle/defensive end who already holds scholarship offers from Miami (where his father played football), Georgia, Florida and Ole Miss. He is big, lean, strong and physical and has good feet. He's also quick, posting a 4.44-second pro agility shuttle time at the Athens NIKE Camp in May.
While Patchen possibly could end up on defense, most feel that he has long-term pro potential at offensive tackle. Expect him to be on numerous early Florida "watch lists" and for him to have a good shot at making the Class of 2008 pre-evaluation Rivals100 when it is released close to Signing Day, 2007.
Linebacker Justin Raymond is a prospect to keep an eye on. Freedom head coach Leon Brockmeier believes that the 6-foot, 215-pounder is a lock to be one of the top 100 prospects in the state of Florida for next year's class.
