UT commitment takes a surprise trip
Things are pretty strange in College Station. Heck, the Aggies even take pride in the fact that those from the outside can't know what it's like to be an Aggie.
So, it shouldn't be a surprise when normalcy takes a right hand turn at Albuquerque. Still, the thought of a Texas Longhorn commitment taking an unofficial visit to Texas A&M this season is a little like being told that your neighbor saw an alley cat chasing a pit bull down the street.
Yet, that's exactly what happened on Saturday afternoon - kind of.
There's absolutely no questioning the fact that West Orange (Texas) Stark athlete Earl Thomas was at Kyle Field for A&M's heartbreaking last-second loss to rival Texas Tech. The bigger issue is whether or not the Longhorns have any reason for concern at the thought of one of their top prospects showing up in Aggieland.
According to Thomas, the only reason he made the trip was out of loyalty to a close friend.
