Florida State running back Antone Smith walked up to offensive coordinator Jeff Bowden one night in practice with one simple request.



"I said, 'Coach, just believe,'" Smith said.



The FSU coaches could be forgiven for being skeptical. The Seminoles running game was ranked next to last in Division I entering Saturday's game against Rice. Four quarters later, the team had a reason to believe.
