Georgia Bulldogs (3-0) ranked ninth in the nation return home Saturday afternoon
in Sanford Stadium to face the Colorado Buffaloes (0-3). This is the first matchup
between Georgia and Colorado.

Georgia head coach Mark Richt is 22-2 against non-conference
opponents as a head coach.

Colorado coach Dan Hawkins is the first coach to bring two
different teams into Sanford Stadium in consecutive seasons. Hawkins'
Boise State Broncos lost 48-13

to open the 2005 season for Georgia. Dawgs against the Big XII
Georgia is 10-7 all-time against opponents from the Big XII. The last time Georgia
played a Big XII opponent was, 15-12 win over Texas Tech in Athens during the
1996 season.

Henderson and Massaquoi ready for action

Sophomore wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi will start against
the Buffaloes after sitting out the UAB game with a hamstring injury.

Junior wide receiver Mikey Henderson will play for the first
time since the opening game against Western Kentucky Saturday. Henderson's
hamstring has healed, but the coaches will probably not let him return punts
against Colorado.

Raley probably out for Colorado

Senior wide receiver Mario Raley will not play Saturday because
of an elbow bursa sac injury. Raley will dress, but he will be a game time decision
if he plays.

Freshman Kris Durham and redshirt sophomore Demiko
Goodman will fill in for Raley as the "Y" receiver and
backup split end.

Turner and Gant out for Colorado

Senior offensive tackle Michael Turner will not play Saturday
due to his ankle sprain. Turner is still in a protective boot and may be able
to play against Ole Miss next week.

Despite his best efforts, senior defensive tackle Ray Gant
will not play in the Colorado game due to a mid-foot sprain. He is expected
back for the Colorado game next week.

Team Captains

The captains for the Colorado game for Georgia are senior center Nick
Jones, senior defensive end Quentin Moses, senior
punter Gordon Ely-Kelso, and senior linebacker Tony
Taylor.

The Honorary captain is former halfback Fred Barber Jr. who played for Georgia
from 1962-64.
