Griffin prepares for surgery, believes in Stewart
Nose guard Paul Griffin has never played football in fear, never afraid to risk injury. He said he's never really been injured.
"When you're out there, your adrenaline is rushing and your heart is pumping," he said. "You're trying to go out, make a play and make tackles. You don't think about getting hurt. That's my philosophy."
Now Griffin has nothing but time to think. A freak occurrence on Florida State's third play of its home opener versus Troy left the junior college All-American with a torn ACL, a season lost and a long road to recovery ahead of him.
