Youth is served...again
"They have more senior starters than we have on our team."
With that concise statement Duke head coach Ted Roof pointed out what jumped out at him as he analyzed this Saturday's season opener against a veteran Richmond team.
Not only is Duke's roster low on seniors, it's high on freshmen and sophomores who will be playing crucial roles that will have a major impact on potential success or failure.
Compare the official two deep depth charts released by both teams this week. On the Richmond side, you'll see 23 juniors and seniors, with 17 in the starting lineup. On the Duke side, the number dips to 17 upperclassmen, with 15 of them listed as starters.
