2006 class proves itself in Saturday scrimmage
Anyone who watched the Wildcats' first scrimmage on Saturday evening at Arizona Stadium could come up with a number of topics to discuss.
There was the hard-hitting, unforgiving UA defense that proved why it should be one of the best in the country this upcoming season.
You could talk about Willie Tuitama literally finding receivers in quadruple coverage, hitting them in the chest when an inch in any other direction would have resulted in an incompletion.
The kicking game is definitely relevant, considering senior Nick Folk nailed a 59-yarder that still had room to go.
While there is plenty to be optimistic about these days when discussing Arizona Football, what stood out beyond all of that on Saturday night was the Wildcats' 2006 recruiting class.
We knew it was considered the best class in school history but it's hard to comprehend just how talented the newcomers are until you see them perform in person. Fans in attendance were treated to the future of Arizona Football and it looks better on the field than it did on paper.
