Georgia dodges a bullet
The Bulldogs' already thin offensive line got a pretty big scare during their first full pads practice Thursday morning when junior offensive guard Chester Adams went down with an injury. Luckily for Georgia, the setback doesn't appear to be serious.
Adams, the starter at tight guard who is also the first option if an offensive tackle is hurt between now and the end of the first two games of the season, was carted off the field early in Thursday morning's practice that kicked off two-a-days. The injury is believed to be a hip pointer, meaning Adams isn't likely to miss more than a week or two of practice.
"He's an important part of the team," said Georgia senior tackle Daniel Inman. "You've just got to get him well and get him back out there as quickly as possible."
