Dorrell talks about day three
Practice three was a solid. The defense continued to improve and the offensive line looked very physical. The offensive line looks like they are going to be able to play a little smash mouth football. There was some good hitting going on out there even though they won't be in full pads until Friday.
It has been a good three days of practice and the Bruins are off to an excellent start. UCLA coach Karl Dorrell is pleased with the effort.
Dorrell: "Joe Cowan could possibly have some ligament damage with his PCL. We don't know for a fact if that is the case. We need a couple of weeks for the inflammation to calm down and it's not certain if he will have surgery or not. Sometimes with PCL's you don't have to have surgeries so we're going to wait and see. I know he is down for at least a couple of weeks and then we are going to reevaluate and see what to do from there."
