Barksdale, a 6-foot-6, 323-pounder ranked as a five-star prospect and the nation's 17th best player, has managed to do well in his summer school English class as well as tackled his drill work with aplomb.

Among the schools still in the mix are Ohio State, Texas, USC, Miami, Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State, LSU, Tennessee, Florida State, Oregon and Penn State.
Barksdale said once he cuts it to five he'll set his visits quickly due to early graduation.
