Johnson happy to be back in New Orleans
Hurricane Katrina displaced many New Orleans residents but now almost a year since the storm many evacuees are getting to return home to the Big Easy.
Such is the case for Ole Miss commitment Rishaw Johnson. Johnson, a talented offensive lineman, played at Hammonds last fall, but is every excited about returning home to play at O.P. Walker this fall.
"It's great to be back in New Orleans," Johnson said Tuesday night. "My mom has reopened her Day Care Center in New Orleans. I'm really excited about how good our team is going to be at O.P. Walker."
No one could be any happier of the news of Johnson transferring to the West Bank than O.P. Walker's new coach, Dereck "Skip" Lamothe.
"We continue to get new kids into the district everyday," Lamothe said. "Rishaw is a very talented humble big man. He comes from a great family and will be a big addition to our team this fall."
