CuseConfidential.com Greg Robinson sure is a big believer in the underrated talent in the state of Maryland. Since the head coach took over in January 2005, Syracuse has signed or received verbal commitments from 32 prospects. Nearly a quarter of those players have come from the "Old Line State", SU's most successful recruiting area, just barely beating out New York. With star-studded recruits such as Germantown (Md.) Seneca Valley linebacker Jourdon Brooks considering Syracuse offers, don't expect the trend to change any time soon.
The 6-foot-1, 245-pound imposing defender is listed as the No. 3 linebacker in the state entering his senior campaign, high praise for a player many think is just coming into his own on the field.
His top five is comprised of Syracuse, Georgia, Maryland, Tennessee and Virginia Tech.
