Cook picks Hawgs
The Razorbacks picked up their eighth football commitment for the 2007 recruiting class on Friday when Jonesboro, Ark., offensive tackle Grant Cook decided to cast his lot with Arkansas.
Cook, 6-foot-6, 305 pounds, is regarded as the No. 13 overall recruit in a deep class for the Natural State in 2007. He has been timed in 5.1 seconds in the 40-yard dash and has a 3.6 GPA. Cook arrived at his decision after discussing his options with his family.
"I sat down with my parents, and we were talking about it, and we just decided that was the best move," Cook said. "I know a bunch of people up there right now. It's the home state college, they've got great tradition, some of the top facilities, the coaches are great. And my brother and his new wife are moving up in the area. It's just hard to beat up there."
