Warren hopes to catch on
It's difficult to improve on a spot in the Rivals100 and a four-star ranking, but that's just what cornerback Donovan Warren of Long Beach, Calif., wants to do. The 6-foot, 175-pound defensive back will add wide receiver duties to his résumé this fall, a position he grew up playing before focusing on defense.
"I've only been playing cornerback for two years," Warren said. "Receiver was my natural position and I always feel more comfortable playing receiver."
If Warren catches the ball anywhere near how well he bats it away he should add to his already impressive list of scholarship offers. Southern California, Michigan, Ohio State, UCLA, Cal and several others have offered already with interest also coming from South Bend.
