Barksdale plans to make early impact
Joseph Barksdale isn't opposed to having an attitude.
The 6-foot-5, 305-pound defensive tackle from Detroit just doesn't think he deserves one. "I haven't made it anywhere yet," Barksdale said. "I don't really have a swagger. I'd probably have that if I ever became the top player in the state, no make that the top player in the country. Until then, I don't see why I'd have an attitude."
When Rivals.com releases its first batch of rankings next week, Barksdale will learn just how far he has to go become the nation's best. The Cass Tech standout will receive some five-star discussion, although the odds overwhelmingly favor the No. 1 defensive tackle distinction going to Marvin Austin of Washington, D.C.
