Wright's a major hit
Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Saint Thomas Aquinas safety Major Wright has quietly become one of the most heavily recruited players in the country.
That silence speaks to the duality of Wright the player and Wright the person. While the 6-foot-1, 200-pound all-state selection is one of high school football's fiercest hitters, his actions speak louder than words.
That's why it's no surprise Wright has followed the career of former Trojan and current NFL safety Troy Polamalu. Both players are known for their big hits, but neither is boastful about their brutality toward receivers running routes across the field.
"The first thing I do when I arrive on the field is pray," said Wright, who had 58 tackles a six interceptions. "I ask God to watch over me in everything I do. Then I go out and play football.
