Richt hopeful about receiver situation
Georgia head coach Mark Richt doesn't expect to see Demiko Goodman's speed relegated to the sideline much longer.
Goodman, considered one of the fastest players on the Georgia roster, redshirted during his freshman year of 2004 and played in a back-up role last fall, but never caught a pass. "I've got a sneaking suspicion that Demiko's going to jump out and play real good for us," Richt said prior to Monday night's meeting of the Newman / Fayette County Bulldog club. "I think he's about due for that."
Along with Richt, associate men's basketball coach Pete Herrmann, head women's basketball coach Andy Landers and athletics director Damon Evans were present in addition to emcee Neil Williamson.
