Tide offers another Louisiana D-Lineman
West Monroe High School defensive lineman Will Blackwell is considered to be one of the top defensive tackle prospects in the South, and the offers keep rolling in for the 6-foot-4, 289-pound Louisiana native.
One of his most recent offers came in written form from Alabama head coach Mike Shula.
"I came in from practice one day and Alabama had sent me a big package and there was a written offer with it," Blackwell said. "They are school I want to learn more about. It's in the SEC and not very far from home. I could get there in five or six hours so that's not bad. They have a great tradition, especially with defensive lineman.
"I've been to Tuscaloosa before and it's a pretty place. My grandparents live there, and I've been to baseball games and seen the campus. It's nice. I've never been inside the stadium or anything but I've heard nothing but good things."
