Beckham back in comfort zone
One of the surprises of the Pittsburgh Jam Fest was Twanny Beckham's appearance with the D-1 Greyhounds.
Beckham had been playing his AAU basketball for the Derek Smith All Stars before this summer.
After a sub par performance in the Steel City, Beckham now finds himself back in his comfort zone.
"Yeah, I went back to Derek Smith," Beckham said. "I wasn't comfortable. I didn't know all the plays and stuff, but I just wasn't comfortable, for real."
One reason that Beckham wasn't comfortable with the Greyhounds is because he wasn't able to have the ball in his hands. Playing with Derek Smith, having the ball won't be a problem. "The ball is in my hands more. When we need some buckets, I'm going to be the man with the ball in my hands. I won't be having to go through all of these other people. Really, on D-1 they had me as a role player and I didn't like that too much."
