Durham, N.C., Hillside's Quinn Barham doesn't hide his affection for North Carolina.

"I love what North Carolina is doing," the 6-4, 260-pound offensive lineman said. "They are trying to build and getting some good student-athletes."

The Tar Heels recently got a verbal commit from Barham's teammate, linebacker Jonathan Smith.

"UNC got a good one," Barham said. "It was good for him. He decided to get it done early. He's a hard-nosed, competitive kid."

Barham has a lone offer — from East Carolina — and could get another soon.
