Helu's stock soaring
Now with spring practice officially over and done with, the attention goes right back onto recruiting. The Bears will host their annual "Junior Day" this weekend at Memorial Stadium, as several prospects are set to descend to Berkeley in hopes of elevating their status as division-one prospects. One name to keep an eye out for is Danville (Calif.) San Ramon Valley high tailback Roy Helu.
While Helu is a talented athlete plays on both sides of the ball, it is his offensive ability that has earned him an offer from one Big 12 school. Before he commits, you can expect Helu to have plenty of options.
"Nebraska offered me my first scholarship not too long ago," Helu said. "It was really exciting to finally hear that. It's been a long process to get to where I'm at so now I'm just looking to increase my stock."
