Bailey's sights set on returning for 2006
When a torn ACL in his right knee ended the season of Georgia flanker Sean Bailey a few weeks shy of the Nokia Sugar Bowl last December, the chances of him returning in time for the 2006 season were grim. But after over more three months of rehabilitation following surgery on his knee, Bailey could play next fall after all.
Bailey said Thursday that he's going to try and get his knee into good enough shape by the start of what would be his senior year, but added that Ron Courson, Georgia's Director of Sports Medicine, will have the final say.
"I'm going to try and do everything I can to be healthy where at least it's going to be a hard decision for them, whether they want to redshirt me or not," Bailey said. "I'm going to be everything in my power to try to get back."
