Regaining NFL relevance
AUBURN | We saw everything from No. 1 pick Eric Fisher to the newest "Mr. Irrelevant," former South Carolina tight end Justice Cunningham, during the 2013 NFL Draft.

Between those two players, there were 252 college players selected. That's 252 college juniors and seniors who pumped their fists, hugged their mothers and felt that moment of satisfaction when years of hard work finally will begin leading to massive paydays.
Only one of them played at Auburn University.
Corey Lemonier became the San Francisco 49ers' third-round pick despite having never shared so much as an email exchange with them. He's expected to play outside linebacker in the 49ers' 3-4 defense, which surely will require some adjustment time.
Or perhaps not. Lemonier is a calm, introspective young man blessed with a very quick first step. He's similar to Quentin Groves, who recently was signed by the Cleveland Browns for his sixth NFL season. He doesn't have a very quick first step.
