Mississippi Valley State preview

BulldogBlitz.com Mississippi State elevated to No. 3 in the national polls this week after beginning the season at 15-0.
The Diamond Dogs will put their undefeated record on the line tonight hosting instate opponent Mississippi Valley State at 6:30 p.m.
MSU is off to its best start since 2006 when it reeled off 18-straight victories to begin the season and climbed to No. 1 nationally.
The Bulldogs are 23-0 all-time against Mississippi Valley State with all games being played at Dudy Noble Field. State has won those contests by a combined score of 324-62 in the series. The Diamond Dogs picked up three victories over the Delta Devils last season winning 13-5, 5-1 and 6-3.
Mississippi State is coming off a four-game weekend sweep of St. Joseph's. The Diamond Dogs won the opener 10-0 and grinded out the remainder of the wins 4-1, 3-2 and 2-0 to complete the home sweep.
