Rhode Island preview

BulldogBlitz.com No. 5 Mississippi State hopes to keep its undefeated record intact in a two-game midweek series against Rhode Island starting this afternoon at 4 p.m.
The Bulldogs are playing their 10th game in 12 days after getting out of the gate with a 9-0 start.
It will be the second time the Rams have traveled to Starkville after opening up the 2010 season at Dudy Noble Field. MSU swept the three-game series by a combined score of 30-14 beginning John Cohen's second year at the helm of the Diamond Dogs.
State is coming off a four game round robin tournament sweep winning a pair of games from both Purdue and Samford over the weekend. All three teams participating in the Diamond Classic at Dudy Noble Field were all participants in NCAA Regionals last season. The Bulldogs won the weekend by a combined score of 26-11.
