It has been tough sledding for Mississippi State since the last time the Bulldogs met Alabama on the hardwood last month.
The Crimson Tide downed MSU 75-43 in Starkville on Jan. 16 and sending the Bulldogs in a 10-game downward spiral since.
State is hoping to put an end to the skid tonight traveling to Tuscaloosa for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
In the previous meeting, the Bulldogs led until the 7:02 mark of the first half. Alabama closed out the half on a 10-3 run and opened up the second half with five consecutive 3-pointers to pull away. Sophomore guard Levi Randolph led the Tide with 18 points and sophomore forward Nick Jacobs added a double-double off the bench with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Freshman wing Fred Thomas was the only Bulldog in double figures with 10 points.
Alabama leads the overall series 116-73 including a 74-14 record in Tuscaloosa. The Bulldogs have not won inside Coleman Coliseum since 2008, where Alabama has won 11 of the last 15 games in the series.
