Tech falls to Arizona, 85-57
Aside from a Josh Gray steal and easy lay-up in the first 10 seconds of the game and a 14-6 run in the second half, No. 9 Arizona seemed to have the lid on the Red Raiders basketball team.
The Wildcats' win, ultimately an 85-57 victory Saturday at the United Spirit Arena, seemed imminent in the final 10 minutes of the game. Attention turned to Texas Tech head coach Chris Walker and how he would handle the loss.
Just Thursday, Walker said he expected to give Arizona (5-0) a tough game. Was he upset with his young team? And if so would he get upset during or after his first career loss as a head coach?
Would the coach be abrasive? Maybe passive aggressive? Would he scoff at the opposing beat writer's questions?
The answer came as soon as Walker reached the postgame press conference podium.
