Freshman offensive tackle's role growing
It's not entirely clear why freshman left tackle D.J. Humphries played the entirety of Florida's second half against Kentucky.
Coaches will say it was to get him experience in a game that was fully in hand. That seems logical, but doesn't tap into the fact that in recent weeks, starting senior left tackle Xavier Nixon has been called out for his struggles in pass blocking, and when asked about the left tackle situation and Humphries for Saturday's game against No. 4 LSU, Florida coach Will Muschamp was vague.
