Players' meeting leads to improved effort
AUBURN -- T'Sharvan Bell raised some eyebrows last week when he used the media to voice his desire for a players-only meeting.
It happened Wednesday and featured several impassioned pleas from the Tigers' most experienced players. Bell was one of them.
"I definitely think a lot of guys bought in to what we had to say, the guys that spoke and stepped up as leaders on this team," Bell said. "I definitely think we've taken a step in the right direction."
Auburn won its first game of the season Saturday with a 31-28 decision over Louisiana-Monroe. Freshmen Ricardo Louis and Joshua Holsey made spectacular hits in special-teams roles, which provided Bell the kind of affirmation he sought.
