First Blitz Bit: Last week was a good one for Mississippi State against their instate rivals. The Diamond Dogs went 3-1 against Southern Miss and Ole Miss last week winning by a combined score of 15-8 including a pair of shutouts. Probably the most impressive stat is that MSU managed to win three games despite hitting just .155 for the week. The Bulldogs pitched it well with a 1.25 ERA.
