Stansbury looking for a bright spot
Things have been pretty bleak at Mississippi State the past few weeks.
The Bulldogs are on a five-game losing skid and even head coach Rick Stansbury has had trouble finding a bright spot these days.
"You've got to look pretty hard," Stansbury said. "I'm trying to find (the bright spot) myself. I keep things in perspective."
MSU is in the midst of their longest losing streak in six years. The Bulldogs have dropped two overtime games and three of those losses have come by less than 10 points.
"In that four game losing streak before Alabama, it's not like our team hadn't played good," Stansbury said. "We all talked about the Georgia situation and know what that was. At LSU we were good for a lot of minutes, we just couldn't finish it. Does fatigue play a part in it? We're not going to make excuses for fatigue. That's part of it. It's a 40 minute game and you've got find ways mentally and physically to push through it. When it gets tight in that game you've got to find ways to make stops. That's just the way it is.
