First Blitz Bitz: Canton, Mich., offensive tackle Cameron Dillard has seen his recruitment skyrocket over the past few weeks which included an offer from Mississippi State. Rivals.com recruiting analyst Josh Helmholdt rated Dillard as the fastest rising prospect in the Midwest writing "The 6-foot-3, 285-pound Dillard did not pick up his first BCS offer until Jan. 26. In the 26 days since, though, he has added 10 more from BCS schools and now holds a total of 17 offers. Offensive guards are not usually heavily recruited early in the process, but teams have been sold early on Dillard because he has been in consistent contact with most coaching staffs since last summer. Dillard has made it a point to allow college coaches to get to know him as a person, and not just a figure on a highlight film. That effort has paid off, and the Canton (Mich.) native now has opportunities ranging from coast to coast. Oddly, he has yet to pick up an offer from either of the in-state BCS programs."
