No. 24 Mississippi State did not have long to celebrate their 76-50 win over Tennessee-Martin Friday night.

The Bulldogs are back to work this afternoon hosting North Texas at 1:30 p.m. to close out Egg Bowl weekend.

Today marks just the second ever meeting between the two schools on the hardwood. MSU claimed their only other meeting 66-65 in Dec. 1972 as part of the Pacemaker Classic in Monroe, La. The Bulldogs do hold a 65-14 mark against teams from the Sun Belt Conference including a 1-1 record last year.

State enters this afternoon riding a five game winning streak and are 6-1 overall. The Bulldogs have outrebounded their opponents by a 7.2 margin in all seven games this season.
