BulldogBlitz.com Mississippi State returns home fresh off their 2K Sports Classic championship in Madison Square Garden over the weekend.
The Bulldogs knocked off No. 19 Texas A&M and No. 15 Arizona and hope to continue that trend tonight at 7 p.m. against Louisiana-Monroe.
MSU is 12-2 all-time against the Warhawks having won eight straight in the series. The two met in Nov. 2008 with the Bulldogs claiming a 78-49 victory. ULM's last win in the series came in 1978 and are 2-6 in games played in Starkville.
The Bulldogs are 64-14 against teams from the Sun Belt Conference including a 80-65 win over South Alabama on Nov. 12.
State enters tonight's contest with a 4-1 record having won three consecutive games. The Bulldogs are shooting 42-percent from the field and averaging 70 points an outing. They are knocking down 30.8-percent from the outside and 67.3-percent from the free throw line.
Mississippi State is also outrebounding their opponents by 7.4 this season. Their opposition is shooting 43.1-percent against them and averaging 63.2 points a game.
