Mississippi State will be looking to keep its eight game non-conference winning streak alive across the state line this morning traveling to UAB at 11 a.m.
The Bulldogs are in desperate need of getting its offense back on track after three straight underachieving performances.
Today will be the fifth meeting between MSU and the Blazers but only the second at Legion Field. The Bulldogs hold a 3-1 lead in the series including a 16-10 overtime victory in Birmingham back in 2006.
State claimed last year's contest in Starkville 29-24. The Bulldogs gained 378 yards on the evening led by LaDarius Perkins' 131 yard, two touchdown performance. Derek DePasquale also tied a school record with five field goals in the 2010 meeting against UAB.
Mississippi State enters the game at 2-3 on the year having lost three of its last four games. The Bulldogs fell on the road last week between the hedges at Georgia 24-10. MSU was held out of the end zone offensively for the second time this season in that outing.
