As the season opener with Marshall quickly approaches, Head Coach Dana Holgorsen talked about the game, position battles and his feelings entering the first game of his head coaching career during the Big East Conference coaches' teleconference Monday.

On the injury front, Holgorsen said that senior defensive end Julian Miller has been elevated to a green jersey, and is supposed to be cleared for the whole week, which would make him ready to go for the season opener.
