Junior cornerback Branden Smith was in a walking boot Friday as the result of an ankle/foot injury suffered during practice Thursday afternoon, sources confirmed earlier today to UGASports.

It's not known if Smith will have to miss any time.

According to the same source, Smith suffered the injury after his foot was stepped on while returning a kick during special team drills.

Georgia officials had no immediate comment on the injury.
