Three-star OL likes Tech
McCROY, AR.-Sonny Dykes is known for his toys he likes to take advantage of and put in great formations with the Louisiana Tech offense.
However, none of that is possible without some time from his offensive line.
Say hello to Jemar Clark.
"I guess the best way to describe me is a pure run blocker," Clark said. "I love pancaking people. That is the most fun I have when I am out there on the field."
The 6-6, 280-pound offensive tackle out of McCroy High School is a three-star prospect according to the latest Rivals.com rankings. The fourth-best overall player in the State of Arkansas according to those same rankings, Clark has scholarship offers on the table from Tech, Arkansas State, Kansas, Memphis and Oklahoma State.
"In the last couple of weeks I would have to say that I am hearing from the Cowboys (Oklahoma State) the most right now in terms of how my recruiting is going," Clark said. "They seem really interested in me right now and are acting like they want me a whole lot. I have heard from Louisiana Tech recently as well and I am looking forward to trying to find a date of a weekend really soon for me to get up there and check out the campus in Ruston.
"I like Tech a whole lot. The coaching staff really feels like I can come in and really have the chance to make a contribution early on should I choose to come there. I like that too."
According to Clark, Dykes and his program has caught his eye for quite a while and he likes what he is discovering about them when he is doing his own homework about the Bulldogs.
"There are a whole lot of things that I like about those guys," Clark said of Tech. "I like the kind of conference that they are in, the type of offense that they are trying to run over there and I am a fan of just the State of Louisiana. I like it (Louisiana) a whole lot. I really want to get an official visit in and check out the campus as soon as I can. I just have got to find a date that works for the school as well as on my end of things.
"I want it to be before the start of my senior year because I would like to make my commitment decision before then, but if it has to be during the season then I guess that would be okay as well."
