Morris twins lead KU to Sweet 16
Tulsa, Okla. -- Behind an absolutely dominating performance by Marcus and Markieff Morris, Kansas, the No. 1 seed in the Southwest Region, advanced to the round of 16 by defeating Illinois, the No. 9 seed, 73-59, on Sunday night. The Morris twins combined to score 41 points and totaled 24 rebounds against the Fighting Illini. After leading by just four points at intermission, Kansas took control of the game midway through the second half, as the Morris twins combined to score 26 of KU's first 33 points. Up next is a trip to San Antonio where the Richmond Spiders await Bill Self's squad.
