Redshirt Review: Sean Mannion
The 2010 football signing class had several big time recruits, maybe none as big as four-star quarterback Sean Mannion from Pleasanton (Calif.) Pleasanton. A top tier quarterback is always an important cog in any recruiting class, but the 6-foot-5, 205 pound Mannion surpassed many expectations with his stellar numbers and leadership qualities at the prep level.
Mannion started three years in high school and was rated by rivals as the 14th best Pro-Style quarterback in the 2010 class. He threw for 3,531 yards and 27 touchdowns during his senior year and set a record for Northern California preps tossing five touchdowns and 581 yards in a 59-37 route of Union City (Calif.) James Logan during the first round of the 2009 play-offs.
