This and That: Providence
February 7, 2010 - Saturday, Georgetown's primary home court was sizzling hot. Sure the Hoyas scored 83 points, all of which were needed to defeat a game Providence team by two. And it's fact that the team's guard trio of seniors Austin Freeman, Chris Wright, and junior Jason Clark scored 23, 16, and 18 points respectively.
But it was Providence senior guard Marshon Brooks that was the star of the show, dropping 43 points in a losing effort. His output was the highest by a Friar since 1991, the fifth greatest in BIG EAST history. Add 10 caroms, three assists and two steals to Marshon's total.
