Though he had been verbally committed to Maryland since April, Bowie (Md.) cornerback Jeremiah Hendy has been exploring other options for a good while now.

When the news broke that there would be a coaching shakeup in College Park, he started showing even more interest in other schools.

Virginia has been in a strong position with Hendy ever since he started looking at other schools again and he will be officially visited UVa on January 21.

How well that visit goes could have a big impact on where Hendy ends up in the fall.
