Visit solidifies Prescott's commitment
Haughton, La., quarterback Dak Prescott thought he had his decision wrapped up and would enroll at Mississippi State in January to begin his college career.
The 6-foot-3, 220-pound three-star prospect committed to the Bulldogs in late July. But after having a monster senior season instate LSU came calling with a scholarship offer that threw a wrench in Prescott's mind.
The doubt remained until this past weekend when Prescott took one final visit to Starkville which solidified his commitment to MSU.
"It definitely set it firm," Prescott said. "I'm glad of my decision now and MSU is where I want to be."
Prescott was one of three official visitors the Bulldogs hosted over the weekend joining offensive line commits Nick Redmond and Joey Trapp. He was hosted by freshman cornerback Jay Hughes.
"We got in late Friday night and then Saturday morning we woke up and toured the academic building," Prescott said. "I went and watched practice and went into the film rooms. I went and toured the rest of the campus and just ate and went out both nights."
Prescott has been to the Bulldogs campus several times over recent months taking in several camps and games at Davis Wade Stadium so his official visit was an opportunity to see what the rest of the school had to offer.
